Well, here it is! My fan sketch piece of our newly female Link name, Linkle. Welcome to the Koei-Tecmo Family!!!
Still a silly name, but I don't mind. As for most people however.... >X3
Boy, as soon as they officially announced Linkle to be in the game, the internet exploded. Tumblr, Deviantart, Cosplayers around the world.
Nintendo and Koei-Tecmo made everyone's dream come true, specifically the female fans. For too long have the fangirls dressed themselves as Link, hoping there would be an official gender-bend Link, and today we got it!!
If Shigeru Miyamoto had put a playable female character in Zelda II (NES) years ago, the dream could have already been a reality. Seriously, that was his original plan with Zelda II.
Was the timing good to bring Linkle to this generation? I think so X3
Next thing you know it, Super Mario Musou with a gender-bend of Mario named Mary-O.
FYI, there's actually a Nintendo character named Mary-O, actually. She's in Super Mario Maker.
HEY! You think that's weird, there's a Mario and Luigi costume in Fatal Frame IV and both are given to ONLY the female characters!
Anyways, have you gone onboard with the Linkle fan sketches? (but nothing inappropriate!)

She's pretty bland in the story, not to mention enigmatic, but I love her fighting style, weapons, and personality.
